North direction

Vastu Shastra
North is the most prominent cardinal direction in Vastu Shastra and recognized as favourable after East. North is opposite direction of South and seems perpendicular to East and West. The significance of North in Vastu is due to its sacredness where all positive energies reign and surrounds that is why Northern sides of home or factory are recommended to leave open.

North is ruled by Lord Kubera- God of wealth and Vastu says to keep this side open so as to raise inflow of wealth, success and riches. Vastu has immense significance for two cardinal directions i.e. East and North because both the directions have implicitly linked with divine energy. North is again highly charged direction with positive vibration which it absorbs from cosmos to instill in the surroundings.

God of North Direciton North is the essence of life and any construction should be done according to Vastu because any defect in North or wrong construction can lead to slow growth, more expenditure than earnings, women problems and loss of wealth. Northern sides of a plot should be left open and more space should be given in the balcony if ideal entrance of plot is North.

According to Vastu, the more the open space in North and North-east, the more the presence of riches and harmony in a living place. Therefore, North should not be obstructed by any heavy weight or even any construction should be avoided as it can hamper the health, wealth and success of occupants.
