God is the essence of all the activities of human achievements. The Brihatsamhita tells that Gods prefer to live where there are rivers and springs, by mountains and in shady groves, and if in towns, surrounded by pleasant gardens full of flowers and natural beauty. Only such sites should be conducive to divine contemplation and spiritual harmony.
